When teaching a Personal Training class I first consult the new client on what they have as their fitness goals. Once I know the goals we will split the goals up into Upper/Lower Body, Strength, Flex, Skill and Technique.
Each session will combine either Upper or Lower Body with some strength, skill + technique and finish with some flexibility. If flexibility is a main goal then a session can be dedicated to this but will still focus on one area of the body at a time.
The sessions begin with mobilisation and a cardio warm up. Then we move onto compound movements (where big muscle groups are involved). Then we focus on a skill acquisition (handstands). Finally we will cool down and stretch.
Aerial Classes are similar in structure. We will begin with mobilisation and warm up. Then move onto strength based aerial conditioning. Then we work on a skill/trick. Depending on the difficulty we will focus on one trick but break it down into many steps or work through a few tricks per session. To finish we will call down and stretch.
