Lessons can be completed online or in person in kerry or limerick. These lessons will be tailored to suit each individuals needs and interests. I am a former choral instigator for the Killarney cathedral choir and have experience teaching. I cater to all styles of music in particular classical, musical theatre and country and Irish traditional music. And pop. During my time at UL I have undertaken a large array of modules in areas such as songwriting, pedagogy, choir, music technology, ethnomusicology. World music, music and Health and performance classes. Along with my degree I also have an honours grade eight classical voice with the Royal Irish academy of music.
I look forward to aiding in any way that I can. The types of lessons varies ... All lessons will be on a 1:1 basis unless otherwise specified or if a group wishes for grinds that can be arranged.
Singing lessons: will vary depending on level this will be collaborative between student and teacher. I will work on songs to add to repertoire and provide an insight into warm ups , vocal care and proper techniques such as breathing.
Leaving cert and junior cert grinds: this can be practical or theory based. I can aid with the Music technology section of the practical as well as the aural/ sight tests. In terms of the theory papers I will help reexplain topics that you are struggling with and help you understand the topics. I will create lesson plans according to students needs.
