I modify the style of my lessons to the tastes and preferences of the students that I teach. The first lessons I have with each of them will consist of talking to them about how they like/prefer to learn and what works best for them in retaining new information. I like to stay interactive with my students in order to obtain their full engagement which will subsequently improve their understanding of the subject being taught; asking them questions about what has been said, asking them for their thoughts on the subject which allows a conversation-like manner to be introduced in the sessions as I try my best to create a casual, comfortable environment for students to learn and be confident in asking for help when they need it and be able to display their own newfound knowledge.
