I have started my career as an intern in a private school in Turkey. Then, I have started as an English teacher and I gave lessons for 1 year to the teens, A1,A2,B1 classes. I also worked with speaking classes. While giving lessons to the students, I had been using a specific system for our language school which is called ART (Active Remote Teaching) system. During the pandemic, I aslo joined online lessons with other teacher using the ART system and after a while, I also gave online lessons using this system.

When it comes to the teaching methods ,I prefer using Communicative Language Teaching, Total Physical Response and Direct Method when it is needed. But these are the ones that I prefer in face to face teaching. Also, I mostly put my effort on four important skills that are writing,reading,listening and speaking apart from teaching grammar.

For online teaching or tutoring, I am able to use online classroom tools and software sytems such as Zoom,Skype and Google Classroom in addition to using virtual learning environment . During the online lessons, I am able to use Powerpoint and Canva in case of necessity. I can also track and asses my students' improvements using some websites,applications and online tools after the lessons such as Quizlet and Kahoot.

As an English teacher as a second language, using those four skills that I mentioned above are the most important ones for the students apart from giving all grammar rules and let the students learn English , especially for the ones whose their first languages are not English.
