I am an experienced teacher with 19 years experience within the classroom. I believe that lessons should develop key skills but also be enjoyable and allow students to feel a sense of achievement. I use a variety of techniques to achieve results and work with students to design lessons that work for them. I am creative within my approach and have some tried and tested ways of developing students writing for both examinations and essays. I am an examiner for the IBDP and have tutored students for the IA and Papers 1,2 and 3. I am particularly good at teaching source analysis developing students questioning, analysis and interpretations skills. At GCSE I tailor my lessons and resource to the correct exam specification and ensure that I teach the specific skill needed in order for students to achieve their desired grades. My approach is individual to every student and I work with you to identify strengths and areas for development. Together, we develop your knowledge and understanding, retrieval skills and examination technique.
