In my lessons, you can expect a blend of structured learning and interactive activities, designed to make education both engaging and effective. Each session begins with a “starter” activity, whether for Maths or English, that we work through together. These starters are based on previous learning, giving you a chance to revisit and reinforce key concepts. We’ll mark them together, which not only helps identify areas that might need a bit more focus but also ensures that everyone starts the lesson feeling confident and ready to build on their knowledge.
After the starter, I introduce the main topic of the lesson, outlining clear objectives and explaining why it’s important. I like to use a mix of presentations, examples, and demonstrations to make concepts accessible and relatable. My lessons are designed to be interactive, with plenty of opportunities for participation. This could mean engaging in group discussions, hands-on activities, problem-solving tasks, or creative projects that make learning fun and memorable.
With my four years of experience as a teaching assistant, I’ve had the chance to work with a wide range of students, and I’m skilled at adjusting my approach to match different learning styles. Whether you’re someone who learns best through visuals, hands-on practice, or collaborative discussions, I tailor my lessons to ensure everyone is engaged and supported. Every lesson concludes with a recap, a Q&A session, and sometimes a quick quiz or game to reinforce what we’ve learned. My goal is to create a classroom environment where you feel confident, motivated, and excited to learn.
