I offer 1:1 tutoring with nursery aged children to help them understand basic English language equivalent to the 2-4 year old English curriculum (Communication and language). The tutor classes will be a visual presentation that can be done with a parent or guardian. One, two and three hour lessons available. I am a parent to a 3 year old child, who is currently learning everything I teach and attends an England based school where he is also taught basic English alongside what he learns at home.

The contents of what the children will learn will provide them with basic knowledge and understanding of simple terms to express their speech such as: numbers, letters, colours, nouns (animals and items) and adjectives (words used to describe nouns e.g big, fast, loud).

The classes will be based around the following:
• print off Activities
• pictures and visual resources
• activities to do with your parents guardian
• instruction activities
• example images
• how to methods (counting on fingers etc)
• home tasks (outside of lessons)
• outdoor activities
• indoor activities

Children will be set a task every lesson to work on in their own time based on what they learnt during the lesson. For example ‘practice counting to 5’ or ‘ reciting colours’. This will ensure the children retain the information learnt in the lesson by including it in their everyday life at home. This can be done through various activities such as colour/ number flash cards or simply expressing the words verbally to their parent or guardian. Upon the next lesson the children will be asked if they can provide answers based on their previous task by communicating verbally with the tutor. This will refresh the information for the child and allow them to have a better understanding of their English and what they have learnt.
