Sabrina Li

Hiya, I'm Sabrina. Born and raised in North China. For more than 7 years, I have given classroom teaching, 1-1 and small group teaching, both in-person and online, to children and adult learners at all levels in the London area. I've taught complete beginners, primary school kids, GCSE, A-Level and HSK learners and British-born Chinese or half-Chinese students, using a variety of materials including textbooks, slides, media and games. I also design my own teaching materials and homework.

I love languages. Languages I have learned and am still learning include English, Spanish, German, Japanese and Somali. I have also had a PhD degree in African languages and cultures with my dissertation topic being on Somali women's poetry. Whenever I pick up grammar points and words in different foreign languages, I compare them with each other and sum up their similarities and individualities. No matter you are new to Chinese language and culture or have some background, I can provide lessons that to the maximum extent suit your need.

Most importantly, learning Mandarin is fun with me. Apart from the joy, you can also get a solid understanding of grammars, detailed explanation of characters and words as well as plenty time of listening and speaking practice in each session.
