I will graduate this summer, and will have just finished 4 years in university education from two prestigious universities. I graduated from the University of Warwick last year with first-class honours, and I have just completed my master of law degree from the University of Edinburgh. I also studied English Literature, Psychology, and French (A, A, A) for my A-levels, and I can offer my advice and share my experience on how to preform well in university and/or 6th form education. I will begin my first lesson by introducing myself and getting to know my students as well as their interests and goals. I will work with my students to create plans and set tasks for them to complete in their own time before our next lesson. I can offer the most by providing advice on essay writing or preparing for essay-based exams, and going over previous (exam) papers together to interpret the feedback from teachers or professors. I can also offer advice on softer skills, such as how to cope with extensive reading lists, how to conduct legal research, and legal referencing (such as with OSCOLA). I have good knowledge of international law, specifically environmental and climate change law, however, I can still provide effective tutoring and advice in other fields of law. I know that law can be frustrating and that it can be difficult to break into the higher brackets of marking schemes, although I will do my best to unleash my student's critical thinking skills in order to improve their academic performance.
