I have been interested in languages and music since the age of 10. At the age of 16, I worked as a volunteer at Carberry Tower near Edinburgh where I got my first introduction to Scottish dialects.
After leaving High School, I decided to spend some further time working and travelling around the British isles before setting off on my journey as a trainee English teacher.
I completed my Masters degree in English Literature and Linguistics and English Language Teaching in 2002 and have always been involved in linguistic and diplomatic studies ever since.

To freshen up my teaching skills I completed the CELTA course at the University of Cambridge in 2012 and have been working online since 2020. I have learnt teaching online during these past years and realised that I need to keep up the speed and pick up best practices in order to be able to meet my students' requirements.

I am keen to get to know my students and and tailor my lessons according to their needs and expectations. I believe that fun and hard work go hand in hand on the path of success, so I'll make sure you enjoy our lessons.

My most precious memories of teaching are getting rewarded with flowers, chocolate and cookies after each lesson by young learners. Knowing that kids go home cheerful and with a sense of having learnt something new means that my efforts to meet their needs were worth it.

What matters is picking up good communication skills and backing up your vocabulary with a firm knowledge of grammar. I will make sure you feel confident from the very first lesson.

Our first lesson will be all about finding out your level of English, your strong skills and skills you want to work on. We will get to know each other and discuss your future plans. Our first lesson will be free of charge. :)
