Rafaela Mendes Ferreira

I am a highly experienced contemporary arts professional with over a decade in the field, combining expertise in curation, publishing, and business. I have directed a blue-chip art gallery, worked closely with major artists, and served as a studio director, gaining deep, firsthand insight into the creative process. As the founder of an editorial house, I have published over 10 art books, contributing to critical discourse in the field. Beyond publishing and curation, I also own a fashion business, bringing a multidisciplinary approach to my work. With an MA in Art Business, I have a strong foundation in the complexities of the global art market and insider knowledge of its dynamics. Currently, I lecture at Kingston University, where I bridge theory and practice, equipping students with real-world expertise in the contemporary art world.
