First of all, I like all my students to feel comfortable in my classes. I want them to be able to ask any questions they might have, any suggestions for new pieces and, also very important, to don't be afraid to make mistakes. Mistakes are the way to learn and take steps forward. I have no intention of making them feel anxious or stressed because something they have been practicing doesn't come out as they thought it would. Learning music, especially learning violin, takes time and a lot of patience. This is applicable to all levels and ages.
In my classes we'll boost and focus the instrument technique through books of studies (Kreutzer, Sevcik, Rode, Polo...) and performance through classical pieces from different music eras (baroque, classicism, romanticism) (Vivaldi, Bach, Reading, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Bruch,...). There is also the possibility of learning modern music interpretation and performance. It's recommended to achieve a certain level of dominance with the instrument with classical music before getting into this other option.
The main aim in my classes is to consolidate technique and performance while gaining confidence with the instrument and dominate both hands.
