I have experience in grassroots English language program that teaches key words of the English language. These words are often the reason why people struggle to read and write proper English. I assist students by using pictures and illustrations to teach basic English grammar concepts. Having worked as a writer, researcher and journalist for many years, I pocess great communication and interpersonal skills. I have strong work ethic and dedication to students, with an innovative and enthusiastic approach to teaching. I have the ability to explain difficult things in a simple way and to connect with students on a personal level. I listen to students about their concerns, struggles or fears which helps in developing confidence in them. Being a good listener has helped me in getting a better understand of my student’s educational needs and as a result I am able to tailor their lessons to their needs. I also engage students in a number of ways, using creative concepts and utilising humour in my lessons. To help students experience new things and learn quicker, I incorporate real-world elements into the teaching module because I believe the practical benefits of learning becomes evident through real world context and experience. My passion is to help students learn and grow, and I get a lot of satisfaction and fulfilment when I watch this happen.
