Philippa Mellor

I graduated with a first class Bachelors degree in history from the University of East Anglia. I volunteered as a teaching assistant at my local high school for 3 years. I planned and led three lessons on World War One to year 9 students. I used a wide range of teaching styles to appeal to different learning methods. For example videos, an outdoor activity to demonstrate military bombardment and an activity based on primary sources to engage with students. I also helped students who were struggling to grasp the content of the lesson or needed extra help with assignments. As a tutor I look to engage with the content of your curriculum and design specific lessons that appeal to different students learning styles.
