I am a new teacher! This will be my first teaching assignment. I am kind and patient and I hope to make my lessons fun and not boring! I think people learn more when they are actively involved in the lesson and are given lots of opportunity to feedback about their learning style. I will plan my lessons around real situations with topics students can relate to. We will use games and songs to learn English together. We will share stories about our life experiences and things we enjoy doing. My students will know they can approach me with any barriers to their learning. I will create a welcoming online learning environment where students can trust and relax in order to open their minds to learning. My classroom will recognise individual differences in my students and that will be celebrated to allow us to learn about each other and to respect our diversity. Your learning will be assessed in a non test format as I believe tests can create stress and a stressed brain is busy being stressed so can not be open to learning. We will set individual goals for your learning so you can reflect on your learning journey and see your progress. I will prepare and organise our lessons ahead of time so students can look ahead and see what the next lesson holds. I can also make learning unique to you!
