I take a holistic approach to teaching music, as elements of historical context, technique, theory and performance practise can all be applied in a variety of different contexts. In my piano lessons I teach a variety of skills, from performance technique to scales and arpeggios, sight-reading, and even the realisation of a figured bass. I am proficient in music theory and teach up to ABRSM Grade 8, using methods which are imaginative and engaging. I can also offer assistance in academic music, for example tutoring for GCSE and A-Level examinations, covering all aspects of the course including exam technique.
