I tend to use Powerpoints and try and relate different topics to real life scenarios.

I do a lot of modelling 'I do' We do' You do' and I ask questions to try and get you to think so I'm not always the one giving away the answer.

I like to stress the fact that the final answer is not as important as your understanding of HOW to get to the final answer.
