It excites me that I might have an impact on the lives of a young person. I do not want letter grades to be as important as a student's developing characteristics. The primary reason I chose this profession is that I have a deep desire to positively affect and teach both children and adults. My experiences have taught me a lot about discipline and time management, both of which are important in the teaching profession. Balancing multiple activities with my school life, family life, and social life has given me a lot of experience with prioritization and made me very effective. I am deeply concerned about my community and believe that as a teacher, I will be able to contribute to the larger society to bring about change in learning.
