I understand that children are all unique and have different interests, strengths and weaknesses. I therefore
aspire to provide tailored support to each individual in a way to suit their needs. I thoroughly believe that happy children will be able to do the best they kind and make good academic progress. I pride myself in having
excellent communication skills and in being able to build positive and trusting relationships with students, staff
and parents to enable me to deliver support through a child centered graduated approach.

I have been very closely involved in the implementations of exam access arrangements and worked closely with outside agencies to implement a level playing field for those with special needs.
I am a passionate, resilient and proactive educator. As well as many years experience in the classroom, I am also a fully qualified SEN Co-ordinator with masters in the co-ordination of special educational needs.
I have most recently led the Science department and previously led a unit for special educational needs within a large mainstream school. During this time, I line managed a team of 14 staff.
