I usually have a Powerpoint presentation of what we will cover in the lesson, I like to:

-Assess your ability by giving you some tasks to complete to help me understand what level you are at
- I like to find out more about you, your interests and hobbies so I can plan a lesson around those themes to keep you engaged
- I offer support with reading, punctuation, grammar and comprehension which come in different forms. These include reading a book and asking questions to see if you have understood it. I may make you write a short story/newspaper/leaflet etc on a subject. I have comprehension work sheets on a range of subjects to see if you can recall information as well as draw inference (read between the lines).
