I can offer private lessons to GCSE or A-Level students studying English, History, Politics or Media studies, focusing on one or both of content and essay/exam technique

Advert description
My lessons will be catered to each student and can focus on learning content, revising content or discussing essay writing/exam techniques. I like to explain content to students (such as key factsl figures, theories or concepts) and referencing examples within texts or the world around us to supplement the content. I also make sure these examples can later serve to bolster their arguments when writing essays. I also like to discuss and help students with essay techniques I used during my A-Levels and continue to use today at University. This is something I have continued to master during my time at University and see it as one of my best skills.

At A-Level, I studied English Literature (A), History (A*), and Politics (A*), and I can offer private lessons in any of these subjects. I can also offer private lessons in Media Studies as I am currently a third-year university student, studying Media and Communications BSc at Loughborough University, where I am currently on track to obtain a First Class Honours.

During my time at both secondary school and sixth form, I gained experience in tutoring students in the years below me on subjects like History and English. At Sixth form, I was chosen to tutor two year 11 students in GCSE English based on my performance at GCSE level and my decision to study A-Level English Literature. During this time, I got to know both my students and tailored my sessions with them based on their different learning styles and offered ways for them to remember certain definitions, theories or concepts. This enabled them to become more confident when going into their exams about certain topic and resulted in them achieving their predicted grades.
