Hi, I'm Muideen Adegbite and I teach Mathematics.
I know how important it is to understand what makes your learners tick. Knowing your learners' personalities allows you to tailor your lessons to their needs. For example, if you know that your student is a bit of a perfectionist, you'll want to ensure they're actively engaged in the lesson. If they have trouble focusing on the material, you may want to slow things down and use more visual aids.
Math is my passion and my life's work, so it's important to me that the students I teach have fun while learning: that they enjoy the subject matter, that they're challenged in a way that makes them feel like they're moving forward, and that they get a sense of accomplishment from their hard work.
I've been trained in the latest methods for teaching Mathematics, I have a bachelor's degree in Education and Mathematics and a Master's Degree in Educational Evaluation — I believe that students can learn math by doing it. That's why my lessons are based on hands-on activities that involve both active participation and group work. I try to make sure everyone has an opportunity to participate in every lesson, so there's no one who gets left out.
In addition to being hands-on, my lessons are dynamic—they're designed to change as often as possible. This means that you'll always be learning something new—something you can use in your day-to-day life.
My experience is that when students get excited about learning something new and interesting, they're more likely to retain what they've learned long-term than if I just teach them facts and formulas for hours on end without any real context or explanation behind them!
