I am a trusted, dedicated GCSE and AS level Math teaching professional, subject coordinator and head of department with a wealth of experience leading effective Math departments at prestigious Dubai schools. Over the course of my career, I have ensured exemplary standards of curriculum development, delivered by strong teams of teachers who have achieved high levels of pupil performance and engagement.
Having qualified with an MSc with Distinction in Mathematics, as well as a PGCE at the University of Dundee, my approach includes the latest education strategies, teaching methodologies and digital learning platforms. Highlights include building a new Math department from scratch at the newly created Gems Winchester School, before leading modernizing transformation of the Math department at Dubai Gem Private School, where I also earned an ‘Outstanding Teacher’ rating.
As a teacher, I relish opportunities to engage, inspire and motivate teachers and students at a range of stages and levels – it’s a privilege to see the positive impact my work has on individuals, particularly when I can help them break free of perceived limitations and exceed their own expectations.
Over the course of my career, I’ve learned to incorporate my passion for teaching and coordination into a meticulous, analytical approach to curriculum development, delivered through collaborative, adaptable interpersonal and team-building skills.
Many of my proudest achievements come from a modernizing approach to technology, particularly through implementing data-driven change in the shape of digital tools, learning platforms and online solutions that accelerated learning and boosted engagement.
I’m also a keen industry networker who relishes opportunities to share knowledge and best practice with leading educational experts across the MENA region, attending up to five major events a year.
