- Typical lessons are broken into two sections: content learning, and then application in the latter half, honing in on exam technique and how to achieve the top marks. Homework/out of hours work is an optional part of my service, as I am more than happy to set some and mark it in my own time, but I do not expect this of my students as I understand you are already very busy, especially in the run-up to exam season.
- Understanding mark schemes is a key principle to unlocking the highest grades, and so I ensure to cover this with every student, and teach them how to read the question and anticipate what the mark scheme will ask for, which can sometimes be very difficult with essay based subjects such as history and psychology.
- I try to provide an adaptive range of study techniques and support, tailored to what works best for each individual. If you already know what works best for you then that's great, and I will accommodate that and modify my teaching to suit you, and if you're looking for tutoring because you don't quite know what works best for you then that's why I'm here! All students have the potential to be brilliant, but not all students get there in the same way, and I try my best to tailor lessons to help all students unlock their full potential.
- Lesson times can vary between 45-90 minutes, and as frequent or infrequent as you'd like, depending on what work best for you!
