I strongly believe that children are far more capable than they realize. It does them a disservice when we restrict their mathematical potential based solely on their age. Instead of allowing children to explore math with passion and curiosity, the current system confines them to specific levels and demands perfection through repetition.

In my opinion, there is nothing inherently wrong with math or children themselves. Rather, it is the way math is taught that needs re-evaluation. The age-based system is simply flawed, as everyone has their own unique level of development and speed. I hope that one day, the academic system will embrace a more organic approach to learning math. While some concepts may come naturally with age, it is crucial to continually introduce new materials to keep children engaged and excited about math. By repeatedly revisiting the same material, which they already know, and making mistakes without progress, children begin to associate math with pain and punishment.
