The core purpose of my tutoring is to ensure that all my students develop their English Language and Literature skills to the best of their ability and capability, so they achieve the GCSE grade they want. I tailor my tutoring sessions to the individual student and use a variety of interactive worksheets and power points, so the student is engaged fully in their learning. I like to create a relaxed and friendly working partnership, so my students feel comfortable coming out of their comfort zones and will ask as many questions as they want to in order to learn.

I have been teaching and tutoring for 39 years and I have worked in educational establishments, which span the range of socio-economic backgrounds, from inner city London to offsite provision and private education and I strongly believe all pupils should receive quality teaching and learning, regardless of class or background. As a teacher who has been identified by OFSTED and through regular lesson observations as consistently delivering lessons that are either excellent or very good and through my roles as Lead Development Coach, Acting HOD and KS4 Manager for English, I know I can tutor my students to a high standard.
