I have worked in a variety of positions within the Education sector over the past sixteen years, ten as a college lecturer, and five as a university lecturer and four successfully running a sociology department. For six years I worked as an educational consultant/private tutor running my own business supporting and coaching GCSE, A level, Access and Undergraduate students in the humanities and social sciences. In addition to supporting and coaching women, who have been transitioning between careers.
I have tutored, taught, and coached Undergraduate AS/A2 and GCSE English, Sociology, Psychology History, Government and Politics, and Criminology (AQA/OCR).
I have provided coaching support for exam performance and UCAS personal statements.
I have a proven ability to support students in attaining top grades in a range of subjects. I am an experienced tutorial and exam stress expert, college and University lecturer, with a passion for teaching, facilitating excellence in learning and supporting students in developing transformative study and exam skills to attain their full potential.

Devising in liaison with students termly individual learning and action plans
Designing, preparing and developing teaching materials

In my position as a sociology co-ordinator I also liaised with City of Westminster College’s associate Universities such as Westminster University to provide a sociology taster day for the 2005/06 A2 cohort and delivered a presentation on ‘University Taster Days: Bridging the HE FE gap’ at Westminster 6th annual ‘teaching and learning symposium’.
