Hi I’m Mia,
I’m 20 years old and live in North London During the holidays and Birmingham during term time.
I have taken Biology at both GCSE and A-Level, where I received a 9 and an A respectively. I am in my second year studying a BSC in sports and health science at the University of Birmingham, and looking to pursue graduate medicine, with both degrees having large biological components. After completing first year I am on track towards a First in my degree.
Have experience running a homework club for Year 8s, where I would help them complete their homework at lunchtimes.
In the lessons we would use the curriculum for your specific board (A-level/GCSEs) and target our learning on the specific areas that you find difficult, using practice questions, revision methods and memory aids.
We would also complete past papers together as well as timed efforts to help you get used to an exam experience. I will go through answers and show specific exam technique to make sure that you are not losing any marks that are easily accessible, using examiners reports to also show any flaws in your answering techniques.
For younger students, we would go over the basics of biology and make sure that they have a fundamental understanding of the most important biological concepts that will then aid them further into their school careers.
I have experience in both OCR GCSE biology and AQA A-Level Biology but am willing to work with other students on other boards.
