In my twelve years of teaching, I have taught two years in Year 2, two years in Year 3, three years in Year 4, two years in Year 5 and three years in Year 6 across Birmingham, Sandwell and in Wiltshire. I have experience with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 SATS. I have an excellent understanding of the primary curriculum for each year group. I have very high expectations of children with their work, presentation and behaviour. I make lessons interactive and engaging. I use a wide range of resources to make learning fun and for children to make outstanding progress and improve attainment. I like to build on the learning and challenge children by applying the skills that they have learnt. I clearly model and scaffold learning with clear explanations and ask probing questions. It is important for me to understand the child's interests and so I can tailor the learning to their interests. I have a proven track record through teaching in the classroom and tutoring to improve exam results and for children to reach their maximum potential. Lessons are bespoke and thorough assessment of the child's capabilities will take place before a series of tutoring lessons begin. I provide parents with clear communication and what the child's next steps will be.
