Hi, I have experience teaching University-level coding in a part-time demonstrator role that I undertook during my master's degree. This experience allowed me to develop my ability to break down and convey complex problems to students, which I would implement during my tutoring sessions. It further taught me that everyone is unique and needs to be approached as an individual. To that end, I envision the first session being focused less on teaching and more on establishing where your son/daughter is in their progress as well as the key issues holding them back from reaching their goals. I would then, taking into account any time constraints, design a roadmap with sessions prepared to target these key areas, breaking them down into more digestible steps, leaving time aside for tackling any past exam questions on the particular topics to make your son/daughter feel more comfortable with how the questions are structured and expect to be answered in an exam setting, as that ultimately is our end goal. Keeping that in mind, any sensible adjustments could be made to the sessions that might make them more beneficial, like going over homework together or focusing more on exam prep.

I strongly believe in this approach as it is well structured and aids transparency, allowing me to clearly show you the progress being made from session to session, and with open communication, makes it easy for me to notify you of any potential issues as soon as they appear so that they can be resolved as quickly as possible.
