I've spent many years being an outlet for kids to bounce off questions and give answers and impart knowledge when parents have been too tired and too swamped with work to manage. Particularly gifted children who often times don't feel challenged enough and the potential to develop their curiosity and creativity is dulled by our school systems, leaving them unmotivated and unfulfilled in their education.
I take that that as personal challenge with my pupils to keep that flame alive and help them in whatever way I can to progress and carry on to the next chapter in their lives.
Due to my background I can tutor primary school kids everything from Maths, Science(all 3 disciplines as well the simple history around it's most influential figures), Astronomy, Geography, History(emphasis on Ancient civilisations, empires and cultures and, if it''ll be excused the tales and myths that surround the formation of the Giant's causeway off the coast of Belfast), Literature and German. I also have a slight penchant for coding in Python & Java in my spare time. Not an expert or particularly well versed but I'm not a novice by any chance.
Up to the GCSE level in Biology, Physics, History(including international wars, the ideologies and policies that caused them, until the fall of the Berlin Wall) Art History with a special focus on how it shapes our civilization millennia to millennia drawing on influences, cultures and inspiration from around the world & Literature
But I see most of my skillset better suited to gearing my lessons as extra-circulars to just expand their horizons and have someone guide them as they sponge information they find interesting or simply ties into things they are already are learning.
There would be no topic too out of reach and classes need only be as specific as each child chooses it to be.
The quest to enrich ourselves and grow should not be limited to children, and I look forward to learning as much from them as hopefully they will do from me.
I have chosen hopefully to omit some intricacies with regards to some subjects, as it would probably turn this into an essay but know that I am properly equipped to carry out my duties.
