When we start I will ask what topics you are currently struggling with and what you are not. Then in our lessons, I will be engaging in a way where, I will not be talking at you but where I would give you questions to do and will assist when there are struggles or misunderstandings. This way you would be able to work most of the problems out by yourself by trying to look for commonalities within questions. This means that you use your own knowledge to answer questions with help from me to check and mend your answers and ways of thinking. I will teach in a way where you can hopefully learn something from each session while also teaching in a way where we can be friendly.
When I teach I would prefer to use an adaptable style of teaching so that we are able to different topics each session, meaning that each lesson would planned slightly differently to the lesson before making it as accessible as possible. However, I would go at a moderate pace which can be changed as the lessons go on as each student has their own learning speed.
I have done work experience as a teacher assistant where I would help the students overcome their challenges within their subject and support the teacher by helping in the classroom.
If lessons are wanted to continue when the understanding of the struggled topics have grown, I am more than happy to go on and teach either harder stuff within that subject or start to learn the next level's content.
