You can never give me a wrong answer and I'll never be dismissive of being asked "...but why?" - it's always the best way to learn; especially in Social Science.
If I can find what you're interesting in, or what you enjoy, that's incorporated into how I'll teach. Concrete examples makes the abstract parts of learning easy to understand. I always like to find out what your own experience/perspective is, and use that to help you understand complex ideas, and to also help you see things from another viewpoint. Social Science is all about learning what life experiences other people have, how that shapes the world they see, and creates their own values and beliefs systems.
I'll problem solve every week if you come to me with anything you're struggling with whether it be concentration/motivation or the material itself.
I used to be a social researcher before I teaching and love sharing my research experience with others so that they develop the necessary academic skills which will help enormously at university as you'll need to 1. Have a deep understanding of your subjects and 2. Need to effectively evaluate and critically analyse to . I'll help you to understand research methodologies so you can critically analyse any information you come across, and know what credible and reliable information is which you can use in your academic writing but also throughout life.
