Hello! My name is Maria, I am 26 and I am a qualified, practising teacher at a college in Norfolk. All I have ever wanted to do is teach, and I have found my passion in psychology. Having studied the subject both at sixth form and university, I have a deep understanding of the knowledge you will need to pass your own GCSE's / A-Levels.
Before becoming a teacher, I worked closely with SEN students, both in lessons and privately, so have a high understanding of additional needs. I have 4 years experience of teaching psychology in a classroom setting (as well as online learning throughout the pandemic!) and vast understanding of the AQA A-Level specification and exam procedures. For the last year I have also been teaching high school PSHCE and RE alongside my sixth form classes. I also fill the role of a sixth form tutor, where I work closely with A-Level students in a pastoral role, as well as assisting them with university applications.
I also have experience with both in person and online tutoring of Psychology, which I am happy to cater around your areas of need. A typical lesson would include guided learning with independent tasks to apply knowledge, with personalised feedback. There is also the potential to set homework assignments to assist outside of tutoring sessions. I would offer this on a weekly basis, though would need to work around my current responsibilities as a teacher (e.g. parents evenings, etc.)
I look forward to working with you to achieve your potential!
