Advert description
Over 10 years teaching various subjects/skills to children, adults and SEND. Happy to teach all around Norfolk and please contact me if you cannot afford but would like to do an exchange. *** I’m a PhD student in Psychology, passionate about helping others understand complex ideas. If you’re looking for clear, thoughtful guidance in your studies, I’d love to work with you. Together, we can build a solid foundation and develop your confidence in the subject.
My background: I hold two first-class degress both in Psychology, and I am part way through my PhD. I have conducted both qualitative and quantitative research and am well versed in a range of methods, so I can help with social science statistics as well (e.g. anova, regressions etc.). I was student speaker at my Masters graduation, and i now have a full scholarship for PhD. I'm affiliated with the University of Edinburgh psychology department.
My areas of interest are largely: social psychology, prejudice, intergroup relations, speciesism, cognitive dissonance.
What we will do:
I take a structured approach and will first discuss where you are in your education and your long-term and immediate goals (e.g. you may have an exam next month).
From there we will co-create a plan toward that goal and tailor our sessions accordingly. For instance, an exam focus means we allocate time to memory exercises and track improvements. A focus on improving your writing skills would naturally be structured very differently. (I can also teach you how to juggle for a change of speed and some fun!)
