My lessons are fun, and we often take your favourite tracks as starting points; what chords or scales did the artists use, and why? As well as looking at your favourite artists/tracks, I explore 12 bar blues as a tool to develop improvisation, chord spelling, funk rhythm techniques….and interesting warm up exercises!

Depending on skill level, I cover everything from guitar maintenance (and setting your guitar up to make it play easier), through to improvisation techniques that enable you to play all over the fret board, in key.

Chord spelling, and the CAGED system, are big parts of how I teach guitar.

Marc was an incredible teacher! He was so patient, and he helped be understand the basic theory.....so much so, that I discovered that it isnt that hard! I can now solo over blues tracks!
