In my classes, I like to use a hands-on and contextualized approach. Students will learn Chemistry from everyday examples, practicing through exercises and online tools. Most importantly, I like to create an environment in which the lessons feel more like an informal conversation on an interesting scientific topic, rather than a more restricting classroom format.
I enjoy discussing the challenges faced by society and how the most recent developments in chemistry are leading the way to a better world. I hope this can inspire and catch the curiosity of students, making chemistry lessons less abstract and more enjoyable. As a computational chemist, I am an expert in translating chemistry into visual aids to help the understanding of chemical systems or processes. These tools can be fruitfully applied in chemistry classes and will be used during my lessons to exemplify and provide a visualization of model atoms, molecules, reactions, etc.
