I have been giving private lessons in English and Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian) for more than 3 years. I have an undergraduate degree in Spanish and Portuguese from UCL and a Master's degree in the same subject from the University of Oxford. I also speak Italian and lived in Italy for over a year, and I recently completed an English teaching internship in China.

I have taught primary and secondary school students and adults who wanted to improve their language skills for professional reasons. I design the lessons based on the specific needs and objectives of each student. Each lesson begins with a review of the topic studied in the previous lesson, which can be a test or an exercise, to consolidate the student's knowledge and to see if they need further practice. I then explain a new language topic, using a variety of resources such as texts, images, videos and even songs to help the student understand and remember the new vocabulary and grammatical structures in context. At the same time, I make sure they write and take notes on the topic so they can study vocabulary and grammar independently, and ensure they have plenty of speaking and pronunciation practice. At the end of the lesson, we recap the lesson content with exercises and practice, I answer any questions the student might have, and I give homework for the next lesson.

I find it very rewarding to see my students become more confident and independent with their language of study every day and meet their specific goals for learning languages. I look forward to teaching you too!
