Hi I'm Louis, I am a English Literature Graduate at the University of Leeds with First Class Honours. I have always been interested in a wide-range of things and that is why I love English so much, as it involves philosophy, politics, the arts, creativity, critical thinking and even history. I have a passion for all of these things individually and can be sure to help incorporate these to develop a better understanding of the texts that we study. I've been tutoring for a year now with 150+ hours of experience, and I really enjoy doing it!

Having achieved high A*'s in GCSE and A-Level English, I bring my own experiences of essay-writing, exams and general technique and understanding into our lessons. My teaching structure is shaped around and led by the students needs and I like to work to develop long-term solutions, rather than providing quick fixes that don't guarantee success. I identify and cater to the students needs, developing stronger understandings of the texts and essay technique, using my own experiences of studying English, sitting these exams and writing these essays, in order to help my students reach their full potentials. Confidence is key and my tutoring gives my students more confidence in class, and in their ability, whatever level they are. All of this in turn will help better prepare students for their lessons, exams, and hopefully in the end improve their grades!
