I will generally meet with students informally via Zoom first to get a grasp on what it is you both want out of the lessons and what kind of current level you’re at! These are entirely informal and just designed to get a grasp of how to plan and approach lessons - you are able to choose if you personally work better in a formalised academic layout or in a more conversation, as-you-go type manner that will affect what lesson plan is implemented. Lessons as a result can either be more ‘lecture’-like or more two-way engaged depending on your own comfort and style of learning. I will generally set some sheet learning at the end of sessions and have some printable resources available each session depending on your progression. You totally get to dictate what it is you want - if it’s solely conversational English lessons will be individually geared towards facets of that including grammar, intonation and vocabulary - but you are more than welcome to introduce aspects of literary comprehension in terms of academic English also depending on the texts and levels you want to dissect; I am qualified to go through everything from GCSE to Bachelor-level with you if you need! Anything along these lines will tweak the format of the sessions to something more teacher-pupil than informal but again this can always be adapted!
