Advert description
If you're looking for someone to teach and reinforce subject knowledge in English Literature and Language, you're in the right place! My name is Charlie, and I am a first-year student in Primary Education (ages 5-11) at Liverpool Hope University. In my spare time, I tutor family friends, volunteer at children’s events, and take on a wide variety of educational roles. While I primarily teach English and Maths at the primary school level, I can also tutor up to GCSE level in English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science, as well as up to A-level in English. Furthermore, I can tailor my teaching to accommodate SEND learning needs in all the subjects listed above.
I have approximately 200 hours of primary school-based experience through both my university course and prior work as a teaching assistant in a Northern Irish primary school. I am safeguard trained and hold a DBS Certificate (please feel free to request a copy of this document at any time).
When teaching I take on a friendly approach, relying on a range of visual, interactive and targeted practice based approaches to ensure I deliver the best possible education.
Before meeting for the first session, I will request a brief summary of your or your child’s confidence level in the subject(s), along with specific information about the topics, theories, or principles that are the most challenging. This will help me provide the best possible support from session one.
I’d like to note that it is preferred for you or your child to come to the university for sessions. However, I can also accommodate home visits and Zoom calls.
