I prefer to go through content based off of your weaknesses and strengths using exam questions as a guide through my lessons. This is why at the beginning I will go through specifications with the student to gain better knowledge on what level they are at and what areas would be best to go through. I also have revision material kept from when I was a student that is helpful.
I have experience tutoring maths, english and geography and in both I created an environment that fostered learning and understanding. For maths I helped with understanding on the basic foundations to many problems which led the students to be better equipped with any questions. In geography I went through past papers and helped with understanding and revising all of the key content before the GCSE exams. This ended up with the student getting a grade higher than their predicted grade due to our work together.
For English I helped a student achieve a level 5 which was huge progress from the starting grade of 2. This was achieved through looking at past papers, analysing quotes and building the students confidence.
I am passionate about my subjects so lessons will be interactive and interesting to keep the student engaged. In A Levels I received A*A*A and I received 6 9s in my GCSEs so I am well equipped in helping students find the best revision techniques for them and have a great understanding of the content that appears in the exams.
