In my lessons I work over the students weaknesses, teaching them fully and comprehensively until they understand and it’s no longer a weakness. I regularly assess student’s progress so that both they and I can see their progress which motivates them to work to see further improvement. I have experience raising students by up to 2 grades, which I believe was achieved by consistency and working on what needed to worked on. During lesson time I focus on helping the student by working with them on tasks and explaining to them what we’re doing and why. I also provide tutoring on subjects, by planning my own lessons and working through them as though in a classroom environment to provide extra support. I use a combination of my own resources and those found online to properly tailor the tutoring to the needs of the individual student as I believe that it’s important to consider the individual needs of a student instead of generalising work to them. I’m a very friendly and sociable person with a can do attitude and I won’t give up on a student. I have experience working with people who have special educational needs and am comfortable adapting my lessons and teaching style for this. My lessons have a 1 to 1 dynamic which also helps me to build a working relationship with my students, as I want to work the wat that is best for them so that they can be the best that they can be.
