I always like to start with explaining the learning objectives then explain how we are going to try and accomplish them. In terms of content I use a series of short activities to help a student keep their attention.

I qualified as a teacher in 1995 with a BA(QTS) with a specialism in music. I taught as a primary school teacher for twelve years before deciding to specialise as a music teacher, which I have done ever since.

I have a wealth of experience teaching children from ages 7-11 in primary schools and privately.

I am available to teach Music theory and brass tuition from beginner upto Grade 5. I also offer English tuition for SAT preparation.
