My first lesson aims to assess what the student wants from playing guitar, how dedicated they might be, what music they like. This allows me to plan future lessons that can gradually build a student's skills up without getting into too complicated of technically difficult things write off the bat.

I encourage people to learn through playing songs they love, and know from experience that it's important for a teacher to change their approach based on the needs and direction of a particular student. I have made very popular YouTube tuition videos that regularly result in my getting comments on my teaching style and that gratitude people feel for my helping them learn so easily.
