I am an experienced tutor in creative writing, bringing out my students' innate ability to express themselves in poetry and prose. Feedback from students has confirmed my teaching increases their confidence, once back at school, in working to deadline, reading out loud, and expressing themselves in front of their peers.

I offer a complete creative writing introductory course in everything from world building to formal poetic forms, plotting to character, dialogue to free verse. This can be adapted for all age groups.

I took my Master's in creative writing with distinction in 2019, at Brunel University London, supervised by Booker Prize winner Bernadine Evaristo. I won the arts and humanities faculty outstanding dissertation prize. The course included teaching skills.

I am a published novelist with two novels available on all good retail platforms in all formats including audio. My poetry has been published in the Telegraph and the Times, as well as in a first collection.

With an English literature degree from the University of Cambridge, I am happy to provide English conversation to anyone wishing to brush up their language skills. I have a very high verbal IQ and speak in excellent Received Pronunciation, which can help with understanding and development of conversational English.

I can also offer a range of support with English literature and language, including helping to improve writing skills, grammar, punctuation and style for essays. I provide feedback and encouragement as well as reading with the student some of the great literature that has been written in English.
