With over 25 years of experience of teaching, leading, coaching and supporting students in HE and College settings as well as running my own successful business; I believe I have the right skills to add benefit to support students to reach their potential and fulfill their aspirations in many fields.
Based in my own home in Southampton but able to travel locally by agreement.

I can help with academic support such as writing and presentation skills as well a proof reading work for disertations, presentations, essays and theses.
I can also teach business, international communication and developing English language skills for school or university.

I also have a lot of expereince of coachiing business executives with presentation skills especally where English is not a first language and accuracy, confidence and style are important.

I have taught in both Russell Group and Millon+ environments and recognise that students from various backgrounds all need support and they are all seeking to improve their lives, but sometimes get sidetracked by emotional, financial, academic or personal issues and a guiding hand can help build confidence to reconnect with their passion, interests and aims. I have worked with students from all backgrounds and nationalities, indeed a large part of my career has been focused on international students and this has given me the communication and interpersonal skills to be able to reach out successfully to all.

I love being able to share my skills with others and watch students bloom in confidence and extend their skills knowing that everything we do in the classes will help them succeed in all aspects of life going forward.

I taught EAP, EFL, Academic Skills, International Business, Leadership, Enterprise, Organisational Culture, Intercultural Competence and Emotional Intelligence so I have a broad range of skills that mean I have the awareness, patience and communication skills to support students from diverse backgrounds. I also know what success looks like at all levels of education and can help students find respite in the short term, build confidence in the mid term to achieve longer term success through resilience.

In recent years the needs of students has changed and emotional and mental health has become a challenge as the students progress through their learning after the pandemic, now more than ever when the need is high and also awareness of these issues more widespread I know my skills and experience could help a young person to succeed.
