Jo Sheppard

I am an artist with extensive experience within the creative fields. I have a Masters Degree in Fine Art from UAL, Camberwell College of Arts and was awarded Distinction. I have received training from the University of the Arts London Professional Mentor Training Programme and have worked as a mentor for students and graduates at UAL. Previously I worked as a designer in publishing and branding, and as a design manager I created and pitched concepts to well known companies. As well as developing the artist's 'voice' I can support students do progress with their critical thinking and structured writing, drawing upon art history, from the Renaissance through to contemporary art. I listen to the student's interests and and build on their confidence and ability in drawing, painting, digital art, sculpture and installation. I am currently an educator in schools and also have a qualification in working with young people with autism. My aim is to see the student's ideas, ambitions and mind set continue to grow in a way that is unique and beneficial.
