I adopt a student-centred approach and am passionate about supporting learners to develop inspiration, confidence and understanding. I have been tutoring GCSE and A-Level English, French and Spanish for over 8 years, and teaching creative writing to adults since 2020. I adopt a student-centred approach and am passionate about supporting learners to develop inspiration, confidence and understanding. I have been tutoring GCSE and A-Level English, French and Spanish for over 8 years, and teaching creative writing to adults since 2020. As well as having a first-class honours degree in English and Spanish from Durham University, I have attained grade distinction in a PGCert in Teaching Creative Writing from the University of Cambridge. My professional experience as a mentor and mental health support worker has also equipped me with excellent pastoral and interpersonal skills, which are an asset when getting to know your individual needs and learning style and help you to overcome challenges. I offer lessons to GCSE, A-Level and undergraduate students, as well as for adults. My lessons last 1 hour.
