I've spent the last 8 years teaching in High Schools across South East Queensland from Ipswich to Maroochydore.
When teaching High School seniors, Units 1-4, my teaching materials will be based on the Australian Curriculum senior syllabus.
For university students seeking to complete a Bachelor's Degree (with or without Honours), my materials will be flexible and depend upon the course content for the specific university. Most universities cover topics that include basic Psychological concepts, Abnormal Psychology, Statistical Analysis, Report Writing, Research Methodology, and Therapeutic Techniques.
I understand the need to tailor my teaching strategies and materials for the unique learning needs of my students and specialise in differentiation and neurodivergent learning. I'm happy to run one-on-one tutoring sessions via Zoom or Skype, as well as facilitate group study sessions.
Learning with me, you can expect:
- Concepts explained in a variety of ways with multiple concrete examples
- Practice exercises that complement the learning content
- Provision of learning materials that will supplement the education of your learning institution
- Deconstructions of assessment task requirements, including marking rubrics where they are provided by the learning institution
- Constructive feedback on assessment tasks that align with academic integrity policies
- Explicit instruction in techniques that improve academic success, including note-taking, memory-improvement techniques, and effective study practices
- Additional support in examination preparation
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out without any pressure to engage my services. I fully appreciate that finding a teacher can be a nerve-racking experience, but I always approach my education opportunities with two things: compassion and enthusiasm!
